12 Days of Giving

I was inspired by Stephanie Howell and a few other girls at Studio Calico to participate in a season of giving. I've decided to make it official and call it the 12 Days of Giving. From now till Christmas, I intend to participate in 12 acts of giving or random kindness in the spirit of the season. Today I started my first act of giving by choosing a couple names off the Salvation Army Angel Tree. My sister and I will be purchasing gifts for a 4 year old girl and a 2 year old boy.

I'm not completely sure what the next 11 acts of giving will be but here are a few ideas:

food donation
used clothing and toys (from my work stash) donated to Goodwill or Savers
The Toy Society (thanks for the link Andrea)
buying starbucks for the people in line behind me
Cards for kids
Operation Nice

I'm thinking a couple days will just be random acts of kindness. Want to play along? Got any other great giving ideas for me?

Ooohh! I love it!! I'll play along. Probably not 12, but I picked up some stocking stuffer gifts for some kids at church today & will do the SB thing too. Maybe a few others...love it! And I really like your new banner too - so festive! Miss you!!

Fun, fun ... I've made a quilt (for Craft Hope), a table runner (Project 320) and hope to do a few more acts of giving before Christmas.

I love doing the Starbucks thing, it always makes me smile as I drive off watching their reaction at the window :).

Can't wait to hear about your other acts!
